Arts for Social Change
Up one levelThis community of practice engages pioneers who are exploring ways of applying artistic processes toward social change. We include both artists who are seeking more meaningful ways of channeling our artistic talents, and community developers, professionals, activists, teachers, etc. who are interested in learning how to integrate art more in our social change work. The community uses this online space, as well as hosting a series of international learning journeys, and producing interactive learning tools. The first learning journey was in Brazil in May 2004, the second is in South Africa in February 2005.

- Arts for Social Change will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa, bringing together young artists and changemakers from around the world, interested in artistic and creative processes as tools to address various social issues. The learning journey hosted in February 2005 received wonderful reviews and we would like to carry the excitement further, exploring how the Arts has and is affecting change in South Africa as well as the rest of the world.
