The book explains very well the interconnection of the different historical eras and events, starting from the beginning of humankind till our day.

The book is a bit cynical from the way it handles the issue of economic growth in Africa. The book talks mainly about some countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. The countries are divided into three groups: The war stricken economies, countries in reform, the growth economies. The book is good giving a quite detailed idea about the different economic growth and decline in many countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.

This a factual review of the information and data of development indicators in Africa. Also a lot of professional analysis. It is a good book if you are interested in economics of the region.

The author explains the strong linkage between Africa and Central America in early history, and the possible role of the lost "Atlantis" continent in this linkage.
