Generon
Generon represents a new breed of international consulting firm—one that is motivated by a desire to create a more equitable, non-violent, and sustainable world. We address the most vital challenges facing organizations and societies by creating breakthrough, system-shifting innovations through the transformation of individual and collective patterns of seeing, thinking, and acting. Through our work with both corporations and public service agencies, we help leaders bring about the future they want to create.
Generon was co-founded by Joseph Jaworski and Adam Kahane. Over the past 20 years, Generon has co-developed tools for enhancing the capacity for profound innovation and change. Our core methodology for fostering breakthrough thinking and action, the U-Process , draws out the highest potential of individuals and the systems of which they are a part. This action-learning approach generates radical breakthroughs in performance by fostering attitudes of genuine openness and curiosity, supporting deep reflection and inquiry, and tapping into deeply held individual and collective aspirations.
At Generon, we divide our practice between work with leading corporations and public service projects. The insights and experience gained in both arenas helps us continually refine and enhance our overall approach.
Our corporate practice engages teams in creating powerful solutions to the most perplexing organizational problems. By working through the U-Process, groups of highly diverse individuals become capable of operating as a single, collective intelligence. Reflection and learning become part of the fabric of daily work, stimulating continuous experimentation and innovation. We also use the U-Process to foster the development of individual leaders, enabling them to envision and enact new organizational realities and mobilize others to do the same.
Our public service projects convene and work with tri-sector partnerships of companies, governments and civil society organization to address critical global problems. These projects, known as "change labs", are run by the Global Leadership Initiative (GLI), which Generon co-founded and which currently operates as part of the Synergos Institute. Current projects with GLI include the Sustainable Food Lab www.glifood.org. Nine more change labs will be launched over the next four years.
