Nurturing & transforming lives by creating art together

Hand in hand arts offers and creates artshops and community art happenings with and for people of all ages. It is about creating space for learning from each other and sharing ideas, for that is when real change can arise.

I've been creating art with people of all ages for a long time. I've always loved doing work like this and have been a self starter.

I've always believed that no matter where you come from, your age, color, belief,...etc, that everyone has the basic right to express themselves in creative ways and in return we will build more beautiful communities. I keep learning over and over again that these most basic ideas for me are very abstract to many people in our larger world. But that does not stop me. I guess it is this inner strength that keeps me going and working towards a better world for everyone. I believe that we can change the world one person at a time in creative spaces together.

It has been almost a year now since I came up with the name “hand in hand arts” that I use as an umbrella idea/term for the projects I facilitate. It is also been about that time that I launched my website www.handinhandarts.com I'm always learning along the way. It wasn't that much money to register with a domain name and I've found it is an amazing space to post the projects I'm up to past and present, what I'm working on, thoughts I have, links to other websites I find inspiring and more.

Most recently I've been creating art with people in Central Eastern Europe. I currently live in Warsaw, Poland. The idea of "community art" is quite new and challenging for many people to understand because the culture and education system still have little space for group-work and sharing of ideas. So, it has been a challenge to get funding for projects but I keep on offering them. I believe that what you put out will come back to you some day.
